9. Ongoing Communications Requirements
Clients must provide ongoing telemetry to the Utility Server for sites enrolled in a Flexible Exports Connection Agreement. Technical implementation details of this function are covered within this section. Provision of readings is optional when solar inverters are powered off due to no sunlight.
The following average readings are required through the Metering Mirror function set:
• Site Real Power
• Site Reactive Power
• DER Real Power
• DER Reactive Power
• Site Voltage (DER voltage can be provided if site is unavailable)
Average readings shall be generated by sampling at least every 5 seconds. For example, sample rates of less than 5 seconds are permitted. Average readings should be calculated according to AS/NZS 61000.4.30. For example, an average should be sent at 13:30 representing the average value of samples taken during the time period 13:25 to 13:30.
